Friday Chi Faves: Lucky Strike

Well Leap Day was AWESOME. 60 degrees? I’ll take it. But let’s be real … it was one day. What is there to do in Chi during all the other chilly to freezing days of winter?

BOWL!!!!

Bowling is one of those tricky activities that takes into account both skill and luck. For some, it’s mostly skill. For me, it’s mostly luck. To each their own. Whether your goal is to throw a perfect game, get a turkey, a strike, a spare or just not a gutter, bowling rocks – it’s social and it’s fun plus you get to wear attractive looking shoes.

Specifically I’ve been trying to accomplish my Winter Bucket List goal of hitting 150 this winter in one game.

To date: un-accomplished

However, I have had a couple great evenings at Lucky Strike. Two top memories include (1) getting picked first instead of my usual last for the team one night and (2) having an entire team turkey:

About thetwentysixthyear

September 6, 2011: I turn twenty-six years old. I live and work in downtown Chicago and really can't complain about too much -- great family, great friends, great life. So this is my personal blog. Experiencing and living my twenty-sixth year. I have no idea what to expect or where I'll be one year from now ... but one thing is certain: I will enjoy the ride.
