I’m obsessed with … Australia

Aussie. Aussie. Aussie.

Oi. Oi. Oi.

You may remember from this post that I studied abroad in Australia for 6 months when I was 20. While I use the term “studied” loosely, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I lived in North Ryde, a suburb of Sydney, and studied at Macquarie Uni. I lived in the dorms with amazing Aussie friends. And I was also lucky enough to study abroad through a program that allowed me to meet people who ended up being more like family than friends abroad. The girls: Beej, Moe, Jac, Jamie and Ariana. The boys: Brandon, Doug and Devin. We did everything together from checking off every single tourist attraction in Sydney to beach days to relaxing nights at The Village to traveling the entire east coast of Australia.

I am obsessed with Australia. Literally. OBSESSED.

Check out a 2(ish)-minute video to get a taste of my obsession:

**Please note all images are pictures that me or my friends took while living abroad

About thetwentysixthyear

September 6, 2011: I turn twenty-six years old. I live and work in downtown Chicago and really can't complain about too much -- great family, great friends, great life. So this is my personal blog. Experiencing and living my twenty-sixth year. I have no idea what to expect or where I'll be one year from now ... but one thing is certain: I will enjoy the ride.
