Friday Chi Faves: ZooLights

If you’ve  ever been to Chicago in December and not made a point of visiting the ZooLights … you are missing out.

ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo is so legit. While is does sound somewhat insane to stand outside in sub-zero temperatures to see hundreds of thousands twinkling lights … it is impressive enough that hundreds of thousands of people do just that every year. As an added bonus, you can visit Santa, see ice sculpture carving and even see the Zoo’s inhabitants. ZooLights has become the most recent addition to the Petersen Family Christmas Eve Eve annual celebration.

It’s getting close to the holidays, but try to fit ‘er in. ZooLights is open daily thru January 1 (closed Dec 24 & 25) from 5pm-9pm. For more details check out their website!

About thetwentysixthyear

September 6, 2011: I turn twenty-six years old. I live and work in downtown Chicago and really can't complain about too much -- great family, great friends, great life. So this is my personal blog. Experiencing and living my twenty-sixth year. I have no idea what to expect or where I'll be one year from now ... but one thing is certain: I will enjoy the ride.
