2011 [my] Year in Review

When I look back at 2011, I cannot help but smile. A year of adventures … of change … of irreplaceable memories. I had a blast! Here’s a little visual recap to what I would consider my 2011 anthem: PARTY ROCK

Looking toward 2012, it is equally exhilarating and terrifying to have no idea what the next 12 months hold. A lot can happen in a year. One thing that’s certain: I will enjoy the ride! I’m so excited to welcome Baby Reese, travel (per usual), undergo LASIK eye surgery, host some bomb Chi weekends … and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Bring it 2K12.

See y’all next year! XOXO

Special Edition: NYE Menu

I’m over the whole “pay $150+ to go to an over-crowded bar for new years” thing. Been there. Done that.

Instead some co-workers and I have decided to ring in 2012 with a fancy dinner and house party. Awesome food? Awesome friends? I’m in. We’ve decided that the ladies will cook and the men will be in charge of drinks … so here starts the first installment of our NYE menu, a sampling of recipes we’ll be testing out:

Bacon-Wrapped Dates

Bite-sized Baked Brie

Simple Dinner Salad

Beef Tenderloin

Tomato, Basil and Cheese Baked Pasta

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Looks like we’ll be full…

45 Most Powerful Images of 2011

A couple weeks ago, my friend Jae had this link posted as his g-chat status. His statuses are usually links that bring me small amounts of joy, so I decided to check it out. SO. INTENSE. In running with the theme of recapping 2011…

What I expected to be a silly 2 minutes, ended up being a legit focus for at least 15. Below is a sneak peak, but DEFINITELY check them all out. I’m not going to say I cried … but I might have shed a few tears.

Here’s that link again: THE 45 MOST POWERFUL IMAGES OF 2011

Zeitgeist 2011: Year In Review

Back to work for a few days

It always blows my mind when we’ve passed Christmas and the new year will be here in days. What happened over the last 365 days? What will you remember? What have you already forgotten? And so, here starts my 2011 Review:

Special Edition: christmasRECAP

I hope that you had a top-notch Christmas! I think my uncle summed it up for me on Christmas Eve when he said that our family is a living testament of peace, love, joy, hope … and laughter. I could not agree more.

Here’s a first-look visual recap of my holiday:

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone has an amazing holiday with family and friends…

And gets everything on their Christmas list.

I’ll be back next week — XOXO
